In the wake of Canada’s legalization of cannabis, hundreds of Indigenous cannabis stores have opened on unceded native lands across Canada. We as Anishinaabe people have a sovereign right to grow and provide this medicine on our own terms, and we have created organizations to self-regulate the cannabis industry and to ensure public safety. The stores featured on this map follow the regulations of the North Shore Anishinabek Cannabis Association and the Ketegaunseebee Medzin Society. They provide safe and tested indigenous cannabis products in accordance with the customs and conventions of the Anishinaabe people and are protected by Sections 25 and 35 of the Canadian constitution.
